{"id":8015,"date":"2026-05-17T16:35:00","date_gmt":"2026-05-17T14:35:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.stefanomainetti.it\/?p=8015"},"modified":"2026-11-02T17:34:39","modified_gmt":"2026-11-02T16:34:39","slug":"calascio-school-of-advanced-musical-studies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.stefanomainetti.it\/en\/events\/calascio-school-of-advanced-musical-studies\/","title":{"rendered":"Calascio School of Advanced Musical Studies"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From May 17 to 20, 2026, Stefano Mainetti held a Masterclass at the <a href=\"https:\/\/borghi.cultura.gov.it\/notizie\/?id=805&amp;pid=1000\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Scuola di Perfezionamento Musicale di Calascio<\/mark><\/a>, delivering a series of lectures exploring the relationship between music composition for audiovisual media and Generative Artificial Intelligence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The sessions, aimed at students from around the world and held as part of the residential advanced training program in <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.roccacalasciolucedabruzzo.it\/acitivities\/composizione-di-musica-per-il-cinema\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Music for Film and Audiovisual Media<\/mark><\/a><\/em>, examined the new creative and methodological perspectives introduced by generative AI into the compositional process, exploring the relationship between human creativity, emerging technologies, and contemporary musical languages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through an exploration of the ongoing transformations in music production for film and audiovisual media, Mainetti addressed the opportunities and artistic implications of integrating Artificial Intelligence into the processes of musical conception, composition, and production, emphasizing the central role of the composer and the importance of maintaining a distinctive artistic identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The initiative, promoted by the Department of Philosophy, Communication and Performing Arts at Roma Tre University as part of the PNRR project <em>\u201cRocca Calascio \u2013 Light of Abruzzo\u201d<\/em>, brought together composers, filmmakers, scholars, and audiovisual industry professionals in an immersive educational experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under the scientific supervision of Professor Luca Aversano, the School transformed the historic village of Calascio, in the Abruzzo region, into an international center for education and experimentation, fostering dialogue between compositional tradition, technological innovation, and new forms of musical expression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From May 17 to 20, 2026, Stefano Mainetti held a Masterclass at the Scuola di Perfezionamento Musicale di Calascio, delivering a series of lectures exploring the relationship between music composition for audiovisual media and Generative Artificial Intelligence.
