On July 10th at 9:00 PM, the Orto Botanico in Rome will host Along Time, a concert featuring music composed by Stefano Mainetti, performed by Luca Pincini on cello and Gilda Buttà on piano. Introduced by composer Stefano Mainetti with a reflection on the relationship between music and generative artificial intelligence, Along Time, inspired by the album of the same title, leads the audience toward one of the most authentically human experiences possible: the unrepeatable dimension of live performance. Along Time is a journey through time, intertwining life, art, and memory, restoring Music to its deepest and most shared dimension. The compositions come to life through the dialogue between Luca Pincini’s cello and Gilda Buttà’s piano, long-standing interpreters of many of Mainetti’s works. This anthology tells the story of the encounter between three artistic sensibilities which, resisting the passage of time, transform written music into presence and sound into shared emotion, creating a profound and unrepeatable dialogue between composer and performers. In this way, Along Time becomes a celebration of a bond fulfilled through the fragile yet powerful experience of live listening, reaffirming the universal value of human creativity and interpretation.
